Infocom Adventures Online

Infocom nut that I am, I've decided to put my games on the website so that I can
play them while traveling. If you have some how found this site, you can take
advantage of this too. Activision has been very generous in allowing the legacy of these
20 year old games to survive. They even are allowing sites to host scans of the original
manuals (see below).

I beleive my collection is nearly complete, but I'm always on the look out for additional
more Infocom games. In fact just last month I got another copy of HHGTTG on 5 1/4.
Unfortunately the Peril Sensitive Sunglasses are missing. :( If you have any Infocom games
that you might want to get rid of let me know.

If you haven't played any text adventures, they are really quite addictive and easy to learn.
Do not start with HitchHikers. It will play with your mind. Zork is really what got everyone hooked,
but you should probably start with Adventure or even my favorite: Enchanter. It is a good basic
game that lets you learn as you go. Try simple commands: Look, Get, Get all, Drop, Inventory,
game that lets you learn other cardinal directions, wait/z, save, restore and try more words from
there.

I expect this is a great way to learn English. One of the first commands I
always enter is Verbose. It allows you to see the complete description of the room after you return to
a room you've already visited.

Manuals can be found here:Infocom Manuals with permission from Activision
